Then bleach wash is exactly for you. It works as a gentle reset button for your hair. It provides a lighter and brighter appearance to your hair without becoming harsh on hair. In this guide, we’ll show you how to do step-by-step bleach washing. It’s a very easy and great way to provide your hair a fresh vibe!

What is bleach wash?

Bleach washing or bleach bath is a gentle procedure in which a diluted mixture is prepared with clarifying shampoo, developer, and bleach to gradually lighten the colored or overtone hair without any damage.

Why do people prefer a bleach wash?

People prefer bleach washing to lighten or remove the excess dye and don’t want to risk the health of their hair as it’s a milder process than traditional hair-lightening procedures.

The exact use of bleach wash is for those who have metallic dye on their hair or want to lighten or remove the current dye. It is also preferable for people who already have damaged or chemically treated hair. The bleach wash cannot lift hair directly but it gradually lifts hair from 1-2 levels without any damage.

The requirement to perform bleach wash

For the strong pigment, it is suggested to apply a bleach wash on wet or towel-dry hair as it helps the formula to evenly spread through the hair and diffuse potent formula so no damage can occur as compared to the regular bleaching process. Also never apply a bleach wash on dry because it causes patches and uneven results.

Bleach wash is not meant for virgin hair

Typically bleach wash is not recommended for virgin hair, which means hair that has never been dyed or chemically treated. Because bleach wash is used on that hair already has color on it or to remove the remnants of previous dye or to further lighten it.

As compared to the full application of bleach, bleach washing with dust-free bleach can gently lighten the hair or remove the old dye and also help to neutralize the orange and yellow patches from the hair.
